This hotel is situated in a great location on what is similar to London's Oxford Street-lots of clothes shops, department stores & a great old fashioned men's shop that sells shaving kits etc. The rooms are lovely, tastefully furnished, warm & very clean. The bed was a super king with crisp fresh linen & comfortable enough. There is a Nespresso machine & this is great for a morning cuppa before breakfast. Talking of breakfast, there is a good selection of cereals, fruit & cold meats etc as well as having the choice of fresh cooked eggs each day,fried,scrambled etc. The staff are friendly & it is nice that there aren't so many rooms so as to be crowded everywhere. It is an easy journey from the airport by the CAT- 10 euro for a 15 minute journey to Strada & then a short journey, easy to navigate on the U-bahn to Museum Quarter. We spent our honeymoon here & couldn't have wished for better. A lovely city with plenty to see & such lovely shops, especially at the flower market area. Talking of which, if you like cake, you'll love Demel.....cakes to die for. Old fashioned surroundings & a viewing window where you can see the masters at work. Highly recommended. Agood, reasonable place to eat is Hoofbar, off the main Mariahilfer Strasse.

Superb location. Very helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Nespresso machine in the room. Great value at $200/night in Jan. Would strongly recommend. And do not miss the Kare store on the way to U for inexpensive design/art.

We planned a vacation with our boys to Prague,Budapest and Vienna in summer 2011....I chanced upon this hotel quite accidentally and decided to book....It was the most beautiful place, centrally located and with amazing facilities....The rooms were spotless and the service impeccable. The breakfast was awesome with fresh fruits and eggs to order...The venetian coffee was divine. The icing on the cake however is the spa in the basement which is fantastic....we took loads of pictures back home ...and would love to come back any day!

We really trust the SLH hotels and booked it based on that for our trip for new years. We really liked the hotel. Great service - for example a gentlemen made concert reservations for us and made new years eve reservations for us, both by communicating by email before we left home. They also made a city tour reservation while we were there. Hotel is quaint and quiet. Bathroom was modern and totally clean. Enough room for both suitcases to remain open. Breakfast was nice, not gourmet, but nice - the service there was great and one lady in particular was really cute and super to us. If I had to name a downside it was that the location caused us to have to walk to to the east past the ring strasse and museums in order to get to the true city center. Then again, when we went to the museums one day, it was a really quick walk. Not a problem for us but worth mentioning. (I don't what options there are in the true city center, but we did not see any hotels there that really interested us. Vienna itself was fantastic - great place to be for New Years.
