WE went to this hotel on 11.Aug.We left our money in the safe and unfurtunatly it was stolen.The worse thing was that the owner of the hotel even did not mind to come to the hotel and follow up the matter . He has liar and did not talk to the police so we recommend nobody to go to this hotel ever.

Wow, I actually read the other two reviews and STILL booked it up. I could not believe how tatty the hotel and the room was. No money has been spent on this hotel since the Archduke Ferdinand, 1914 was assassinated. Why they haven't changed the light bulbs from 10 watts to something that you can actually read from defeats me. The toilet is so small that you can shower, clean your teeth and go to the loo all at the same time. I spent as little time in my room as possible. The "reception" area is just two sofas in a dark area. There could have been someone there but I didn't want to investigate. The breakfast was (very) basic. You get given three keys. 1 for your room, 1 for the reception door as closes 10 o clock and 1 key for the metal gate on the street that closes at 8 o clock. Best of luck with those 10 watt light bulbs...............

This hotel is an absolute rip-off: the Ibis up the road was only 5 euros more. It is extremely sub-standard, windows and doors not close or lock properly, only had 5 mins of hot water in the shower, the bed was lumpy and low, the whole place looked like it was furnished by a second hand shop and stank of cigarettes. The owner / manager did not care about any of my concerns and was extremely rude. I did not dare try the breakfast in the basement of the hotel.

I experienced very bad homesickness whilst staying here and did everything I could to stay out the room. I actually connected the Australian Embassay about this place and they have had complaints before about it - yet it was listed on the STA travel website - which I have sinced complained about. I only hope this review and persistent non-booking enusre this hotel closes for good.

I don't know who wrote the favorable review but it's obviously not an honest one. If you want to experience staying in a slum, then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, it's an expensive slum at that. I've only seen one other hotel room comparable to this one and it was in the slums of Chicago when I was a poor college student and only had $10 to pay. The Minu is run by a slum landlord from Turkey who is not about to spend any money making his hotel livable. Check out the photo showing part of the room and its view.
