Simple and clean rooms in a pleasant and quiet area of the city. A good value for money and modern hotel.

Like other reviewers I can only praise this hotel although there are very minor gripes. My husband and I have just returned home after staying at Trend Messe hotel for 10 days. Initially we were given a room facing "forwards" onto a very active and noisy building site, even working under floodlight well into the evening. I requested a room change to the "back" side of the hotel, which has a wonderful view overlooking the Prater funfare park - no problem at all. Much better. The reception staff are great, speak English and always ready to help. The breakfast is quite the best we have ever had in a 3 star hotel, I would say it is more in keeping with a 4 star and again I found the breakfast staff very friendly, especially one girl with her hair in a pony tail. The room is perfectly adequate in size, the bed good, but the pillow was not to my liking (too soft and not much filling) - I didn't ask for a different one. The shower room was excellent and had a sliding opaque glass door. My only gripe - the toilet paper was cheap, single ply.
The only downside to this hotel, through no fault of its own is its location. It isn't downtown Innere Stadt. It is served well by the U-Bahn (U 2 Prater Messe) which is 1 min walk, and it is only a few stops and a change to St Stephan's, or about 5 stops direct to Karlsplatz. We found that returning after an active day's sightseeing in the afternoon, we felt less inclined to go out in the evening because of this - but then that was personal and we are pensioners! I imagine in summer when it is light for much longer this would be less of a deterrant.

All in all, an excellent hotel and I would most definitely return. For families it is a short walk to the Prater park opposite. And yes the prostitutes are still there on the road behind the hotel, but they cause no harm and the hotel staff did tell me not to walk up that road!

A nice eplace to stay, would recommend. Getting a day metro ticket is a great idea. Good value

We stayed for three nights in Austria Trend Messe. Our experience was more than pleasant.
It is a big hotel and always crowded in its lobby, at least in the pre-Christmas period. Its rooms are spacious, clean and provide all the comforts of a 3-4 star hotel.
It is located 100 metres away from the U2 Ubahn metro station Messe Prater that drives visitors quickly to the center of Vienna. Many rooms on the upper floors offer a nice view to the Prater Amusement Park and its well -known ferris wheel.
Breakfast costs 15 euros, which is very expensive, even by Vienna standards. However there is a small shop just outside the metro station, that sells many local breakfast delicacies in fair prices.
Overall, we enjoyed its comfort and strategic position in a very good price.
