The hotel has only 2 bed rooms!!! The 3, 4 bed rooms and the only apartment have expellable emergency beds.
We tried to book the apartment and got a booking to a 4 bed room. This was actually a simple double room, with an expelled sofa, suitable for two small children. For our two teenagers it was unacceptable small and uncomfortable. The sleep on it was a punishment.
Our 3rd son is under 6 years, theoretically free of charge. We asked pillow and blanket for him, which resulted, that they forced us to pay the price of a 5 bed room!!!!!
(By the way, the pillows are extreme small.)
The room faced to a huge grey wall, about two meters away from the window. From the dark room we could see only this grey wall.
The “wellness oasis” is an alibi. Funnily small, the shower fungal infected, the recreation area is two chairs in a windowless cellar.
If you could not find the receptionist in this non smoker hotel, you can find her somewhere outside just smoking.
When I complained, they told me, they believe, in a four star hotel it is normal to pay the price of a 5 bed room if you stay in a double room with a tiny sofa, it is normal that you can see from the windows only a grey wall. It is normal that the booking system direct you form the reservation of an apartment to a double room with sofa, without calling the attention to the change.
I really do hope this is normal only for Hotel Schild and not for all Austrian hotel as they stated.
