We booked this hotel through one of the hotel search engines a month in advance and stayed there for only two nights, but I can say, this was the best hotel I stayed in so far. The location is good, since not only 5 minutes away is the Underground station, with trams also near by. We made a reservation for the private closed hotel parking, since they have only few parking places available for their guests, so if you plan coming with the car, make sure to check with them if there are available spaces. The parking costed €9,50 per the night of your stay. The room was spacious enough, with free wi-fi access, flat screen TV with 40-something mostly German speaking channels, comfortable bed, nice and clean bathroom, closet and a desk. Our room also had a view to the main street, but since we had our windows closed during the night, we didn't hear almost any street noise. Also, the breakfast buffet was pretty diverse and rich.

Hotel Lucia offers a good accomodation: confortable and clean room, good breakfast, friendly and helpful personnel. The hotel position is 15 min walk to Schönbrunn and 5 min walk to the U-Bahn Station (Johnstraße). As to the hotel rate, we found it good because of the low season (beginning of January).

the average score for the room is because our first room was really not good...(low ceiling(attic) small window no light....tv remote control didn't work, walls were dirty,toilet waste bin was broken)although I had made contact with the owner and was promised a side road room...when i told the receptionist how unhappy i was with my room and the unfullfilled promised made by the owner he imediatelly agreed to change our room but after 3 days because the hotel was fully occupied.So we had to pack our things again and leave them by the reception in the morning and were told that when we returned our room and things will be ready and settled.
But it was an inconvinience to say the least And on top of that we returned to the hotel at night really tired just to find out that unfortunately we had to carry again our suitcases because they mixed them up and couldn't tell which was ours...(unprofessional)
the GOOD POINT is that inspite the mistake with the room they tried to fix it.So there is a plus.The breakfast was really good, really satisfying.The personnel (reseptionists) left me wondering...the majority were helpfull.One was particularly skilled and helpfull,one was really eager to help,another one friendly and the other 2 barely talked to us...the hotel was clean but they were cheap in the bathroom amenities(really but quallity and not enough quantity).No mini bar in the room.The tv apparatus was really old and small.No glasses to use even for water drinking in the room(you have to ask for it).

This hotel is a bit aged facility in not-so-central part of Vienna. It is priced reasonably, but only considering the prices of other hotels in Vienna. Despite the polite and qualified staff, the hotel itself feels like average 3 star standard hotel, with rather minuses than pluses. Minuses such as - if you get the room with windows facing the main street, it is noisy. In our room (101) there was no minibar (just empty case for it). Overall, in my view - this hotel is OK to sleep in Vienna on tight budget but staying there would not contribute to any special atmosphere. So I would reccomend it rather for business travel or visits, and not for holidays or special occasions when you want to "live a little". On the other way, it should not spoil the holiday or be dissapointing, so if someone is OK with just that, it is probably not a bad choice.
