The hotel is nicely located in the center about two city blocks outside the Ringstrasse and trams, but it is on a quiet street. It is a clean, basic hotel on the upper floors of a building and serviced by an elevator. The room we had was comfortable and reasonable furnished.

The hotel had a free Internet terminal for quests. The breakfast was in a room two levels up from our room and it had an adequate buffet selection.

If I returned to Vienna, I could stay here again because the rate was good and the overall experience was quite good.

The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was served on a different floor and was adequate. The hotel is located in a quiet street close to the Town hall. It is pretty much close to everything and was an ideal base for exploring Vienna for us.

We initially had a little difficulty finding the hotel which is tucked away down a side street near the Rathaus with no obvious sign outside. Note that there is a small sign next to the intercom by the entry door so make sure you know the building number as you might walk past first time. Although not right in the centre it is reasonably well placed for access to the main sights and the U-Bahn. The rooms were functional and fine for a couple of nights. The one criticism we had was that the breakfast room has only limited space and on the first morning we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. The owner did try to make amends and presented us with a bottle of wine which as it was Valentines day was a nice touch. I guess that for what we paid, for a room close to the centre of Vienna it was reasonable value for money.

This small, unassuming hotel is hard to find, like a series of apartment suites in a beautiful old building. The experience is completely genuine, the management/owners a family Ziegler who are careful to provide for your every request. Herr Ziegler has run this with his son for many years, and is so personally invested that the honey provided with breakfast each morning is made by his own bees. This is not a hotel with a bar/lounge, and the rooms are modest, but the comfort level, the value, and above all the location make this a must-stay inn for the business or budget traveler. There is free wireless internet access in the rooms, a nice surprise. Steps away from the Votivkirche, the Universitat, and the Einstein Cafe, with a good continental breakfast provided until 10 for the late sleeper, this fit my finances and my needs absolutely perfectly. I stayed for a week, and was bid farewell like a friend. Excellent.
