As some reviewers have already noted, this is not a regular hotel, but more serviced apartments. Staff are not present after 6 in the evening. I knew that before I arrived, and stayed for several months. On the plus side, the apartment was spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful (really liked all of them!), and the location was very convenient and central. The furniture was Ikea and getting a bit old (think peeling melamine), but that did bother me as much as it did some other people I spoke to. More frustrating was the wireless internet, which was very unstable. Some other residents told me they had given up on it entirely. For people in Vienna on business, this would be a huge frustration, but maybe it would not bother people on a sightseeing holiday. Although irons and ironing boards were available, they were also tired and you had to make a real effort to get one that was OK. So, I ended up with mixed feelings about the Laudon. Oh, and when the temperatures go up, yes, there is no air conditioning, and that gets a bit much.
