Really boutique in décor and feel. Rather pricey. Tiny bathroom with a smallish verandah and rather comfortable bed. Very helpful staff- able to arrange tickets and all of them were friendly and quite knowledgeable. You could let yourself in after hours with a key to the front door. Its situated just off the main street- a few metres down from St. Stephens cathedral (so quite central). There are mcdonalds and other eating places in the vicinity. Tourist Information a little distance away towards the back side- underground rail is also quite close.The elevator is tiny and slow- steps are quicker. Breakfast is on the top floor next to the reception and rooms (at least mine was on a lower floor). There is a small but helpful bookcase with tourist oriented books- very helpful if you can get them. Wifi worked in the room. If the price was lower I would definitely recommend this place its got an old world charm to it- definitely worth at least a day if not more

The Pension Aviano lived up to all our expectations. Booked for a 3 night Christmas Market Break in Vienna. Very Clean and Comfortable. A home from home ! This lovely pension is decorated traditionally which may not suit every taste but it is spotlessly clean and cosy. We spent most of our time rambling the endless beautiful sights so really all we were after was a good bed and decent breakfast. Breakfast was perfect. Good choice of cereal,bread,cheeses, ham,pastries etc. The breakfast room is small and cosy. It acts as a reception room during day and evening with free tea and coffee available. I would highly recommend this little place. Also location is just fantastic !!!!

We stayed here during the height of the bustling, busy tourist time. Great location, quiet at night, the breakfast is adaquate and served in a cosy setting. Our bathroom was very clean, and so was the room. The desk clerks were helpful, they all smiled, and genuinely enjoy servicing the guests. Aviano arranged touring other nearby areas. Booklets are at the desk. The desk also arranged an evening of the Strauss+Mozart dinner and concert. This is a must do! Aviano arranged transport to the airport. And yes- Aviano is secretly located.

I was in Vienna for a wedding and the whole wedding party stayed at Aviano. The service was impeccable, the rooms were very pretty, and the location was fantastic.
I´m not a huge fan of carpets, and this hotel is full of carpets and they seemed to be very well kept. The breakfast and coffee in the morning was fantastic... My room had a wonderful view of the rooftops of central vienna.
But the best of all i think was the service, the frontdesk did everything possible to keep everybody happy and satisfied despite the need for hairdryers and irons!!
I found it a bit expensive, but then i think its an expensive city, so i believe it was a fair price.
