I have just come back from Vienna and stayed 1 week in Intercity Hotel. It was my 3rd visit to Vienna and previously I stayed in another hotel, which was excellent. Well, one thing I can tell you for sure about Intercity Hotel, this is not a 4 star hotel. It hardly deserves 3-star rating. The location is great, no doubts. You can take an airport bus for 7 euro and get off at the last stop; the hotel is only 2 minutes away. The hotel rooms are rather small and dark. Unless you take a “business room”, which is 20 euro more expensive, you would have to pay for the internet. In business rooms the internet is free. Another difference between the standard and business room is that the room has more light and tea kettle, the rest is the same. There is a computer downstairs at the reception area, where you can use internet free of charge but the printer was not working for 4 days when I stayed in the hotel. The breakfast was adequate, but the same items and no diversity for the 7 nights. The customer service is average, I did not find anyone going extra mile. One day we did not have a hot water for several hours (in the entire hotel), but it got fixed the same day. No fitness/sport centre. I would not come back to this hotel - does not worth the money paid.
