A lot of accommodation in Vienna is old and worn out - this is one of those. I booked for a family of 4 with teenage children. There were lots of stairs and no lift. The room seemed clean on first inspection but it was hard to tell with the dull decor. Pillows were awful. The elevated train runs behind and was very noisy as our room was at the back. The shower was over the bath and was fine if you were 4ft tall. The restaurant decor was dark and dingy but the food was reasonable and included in the room rate.

I intended to stay in this hotel together with my wife and my daughter for three days last week. We made a booking using www.booking.com web site but, as I suddenly got sick only one day after, we called in to cancel the reservation. The answer came to my big surprise that they would not be able to cancel my reservation unless they sell the room again. Surprisingly (or not, as it looked like that when we talked), the room was not sold and I got full charge of 275 EUR on my credit card just as if we spent all three nights there.
Make sure you check very thoroughly all conditions when using booking.com and planning to stay in this hotel as these robbers will charge your credit card even if you die in the meantime.

All staff were very friendly. The lady at the desk arrived with a bottle of wine and card when she realised we were celebrating a birthday. Breakfast was great. Very convenient to get the S7 from the airport to Praterstern for €3.60. Just a five minute walk from there to hotel. However the trains could be heard from your bedroom. Walk to the bridge and walk in to town centre by the Danube Canal walk which takes about twenty minutes or get the U1 from Praterstern. Not much resteraunts or pubs on Franzensbra Str. More life on Prater Street which is the main street nearby. Ferris wheel just behind hotel. A little bit further out from town than I would normally like but I would recommend for the price and breakfast and because everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for one night as I was catching the boat to Budapest and the hotel was close to the departure point. I thought it was expensive for what it was but ok. However I should say that it is very close to a railway line and trains run throughout the night.
