The Vienna Marriott was a great choice for a business trip as I needed to be in the city center. While the hallways seemed a bit dated, the rooms were sufficiently comfortable. Restaurants were adequate, however this is not a place where you can expect fine dining. The sports bar had good service, with plenty of fried foods, don't expect healthy foods here! The staff was friendly and the business center staff was particularly helpful. Would definately stay there again next time I am in Vienna. This is a great city with an amazing history.

I am not a Marriot fan, but circumstances landed us here...and I really couldn't fault them. Firstly the location was superb - across from the main gardens, behind the Stephnzplatz, with the trams right out the front. Secondly the rooms were a great size, 2 double beds with generous accommodation for 2 adults & 2 children (they even brought kid size robes & slippers - though I had to request them). The bathroom was very small but recently renovated & very fresh. The breakfast in the main dining room was classic American with everything one could want (the only down side was that pancakes/waffles were not on the buffets & had to be requested).This space was very effeciently run by a gentleman every morning. The pice de resistance however was the Executive Lounge Access - made the world of difference when it is extremely cold outside & you need somewhere to escape to but the room won't do! Snacks during the day..lunch treats & pre-dinner - extremely delicious offerings, we were pleasantly surprised.

Wien (Vienna) and Marriott!! Beautiful city and premier location for seeing it all. Easy access to all the sights and sites in Vienna. Grab the tram right out front and enjoy the ride. Hint: Try the outdoor market. ask for directions, a great way to while away the day and enjoy the sights. Hotel is also easy walking distance to the city center, and museums for those a bit more energetic. Wife and I found the staff to be efficient and friendly, especially Mr Jakob Moser at the front desk and his excellent recommendation for our music outing one evening. Extremely helpful and we had a great time. Jazz as it should be. And Christian H. manning the Captain's Station at breakfast who recognized us and greeted us on sight and by name after the first day. Even wished us well on our return journey home. Touches which make a visit exemplary vice ordinary. Rooms were just what we expected from Marriott and made the trip that much more enjoyable. Only had one snafu and that was with parking. Apprently we did not follow the front desk directions correctly which cost us an extra 30 EURO and delayed our departure by an hour. A bit frustrating and disappointing as the clerk could have been much clearer but over all did not detract from our visit. There are quite a few parking garages right at the Marriott property just need to go to the specific one and make sure you clearly understand when they give you information. Enjoy Vienna!!!

Stayed here in May 2011. Altho a Marriott the staff were very friendly (as were all the locals to be fair) and rooms well appointed and the location of the hotel is what makes it.

Across from one of the many parks, 10 mins walk to St Stephensplatz and Cathedral a great central location for going anywhere in Vienna.

Breakfast is well laid out with plent of options but is business functional design. We probably didn't see it at its best purely because a European volleyball tournament was being played in teh city and many countries teams (if not all) were staying in the hotel, so breakfast was a little chaotic but the staff worked extremely hard to keep it tidy.

Tip book the concierge limo they greet you at the airport, take you to the hotel with a mini city guide as you go through the city (at least we did). Not that much more than a taxi but oh so much more convenient.

Will be back as we loved Vienna and the location of the hotel
