A subway station was across the street from the hotel. This convenience made the trip to Vienna and Salzburg with two small kids easier. There was no real concierge, but the front desk printed out train schedules for us and had maps. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is what you would expect of a Renaissance or any Marriott property in the US. I was expecting an old European style room, but I was surprised. They had a roll-away bed ready for us in the room. We didn't have to waste valuable vacation time waiting for someone to bring it up. Pillows, bedding, comforter... All very comfortable. All the toiletries were in abundance. The bath tub was deep. There was able storage for our luggage. The hotel had a bar/eatery if you need something right away. One drawback is that there are not any good restaurants in the area. There is a grocery store/bakery about 3 blocks away. So, parents need to plan ahead for food. The pool and sauna are amazing. Located on the roof with a glass (?) enclosure so it's warm, is really a nice touch. The Eurpean style of bathing embarrassed my two boys however. :) Overall, this hotel made our Vienna/Salzburg trip more enjoyable.
