in few words :
the location of the hotel is perfect wich means very close(7-10 minutes walk) to historical centre of the city and very close(1 minute walk) to Maria Strasse where you can shop till you drop.
The staff is amazing and is helping you whatever you need. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very good but with not to many things to choose from.
In my opinion they should do something with the breakfast area because is to small (around 30 square meters) and they have 44 rooms, but I think that is nothing possible to be changed because of the inside architecture of the building(there is no room left). In one morning we waited for 15 minutes for a table and the space between tables is very small to increase the number of the people to be accommodated. in the other 3 mornings we had the table imediately
Also, in our room there was a mixture of new furniture with old one and that old furniture needs to be changed immediately. Also they choose some colors for decorating the main lobby wich in my opinion was not smart. That green color seems to appear like an used interior but if you look closely you can see that is not the case.
Anyway, a good choice.

A classically decorated large room overlooking a quiet street. TV, WI-FI, minibar, wc separate from the bath, walk-in closet. Nice breakfast but the tiny breakfast room is overcrowded, and one morning we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. There was only one electrical socket in the whole room - not enough for today's traveler who will have a mobile phone and laptop to charge in most cases. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and worn, no extra pillows or blankets available in the room, only on request. The area is very central and with many nice shops, restaurants and bars. Organic grocer across the street.

The front desk staff was courteous and helpful at all times. The breakfast is simple, but good quality. The location is just about perfect, just steps from a major shopping street and a couple of minutes from Vienna's main attractions by a convenient metro stop. You can also walk to the main attractions in 15-20 minutes and it's an enjoyable walk.

The only negative for us was the walls in the rooms are a bit thin. The hotel was quiet most nights, but a little noisy on Saturday night. We brought earplugs and it didn't bother us too much.

We found very much what we were expecting based on previous tripadvisor reviews. One of the biggest boons was the restaurant choice in the Spittelberg area, so close to the hotel. We found it could get very quiet for a city after the rush hour ended (maybe there are more tourists about in the summer or in more prosperous times) but always felt safe in this area returning from our night out, which might not have been the case elsewhere in the city. The only negatives were the lift size (the smallest lift I've ever seen), although we never had to share the lift so it didn't matter and with the breakfast quality and environment, but it still did its job. Considering how much dearer a more central hotel would have been, the Savoy was good value and we would certainly use this hotel again.
