“Left a little disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

For a three star rating, it felt like a one star. The single room i was assigned was way too small. There was not enough space for my luggage, just barely enough room to walk, poorly lit, small screen TV and felt like a motel. Room was dated. Bathroom was clean, which is a good thing. But shower stall is tiny tiny tiny.
Breakfast was boring bland repetitive. And don't talk about service. There was none, even at self service buffet, the staff didn't really care about you.

However the location, though far from city center, close to Matzleinerdorfer Platz station (tram and U-bahn) to get you to city center. Several nice and cheaper restaurants near hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the newer rooms (maybe)

“Ok hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

A little bit too far from city center but if that isn´t a problem this hotel is a good choice. Tripleroom was roomy, breakfast ok.

“very economic and very close to the center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

It is a place where you can stay with a reasonable price and get to trhe center with no problem either take a long walk to the center via the main street. from the airport just take S7 then change to S9 or S15 at rennweg to the meidleng directon. Not much things to do near the hotel but it is convinient to have something from near markets. There is also a Turkish markets sells products from Turkei.

“Good value for your money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

I chose the hotel for its price - I got a total of EUR 94 for a double room for two nights through booking.com. The hotel is very basic but that's what we expected. Our room was on the 5th floor and though it looked towards that railway station it was not as noisy as I assume lower floors are - we could barely hear the trains. The room was big, clean, and warm enough - the last was quite important as we hit very cold days in Vienna. The bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special but quite enough, we did not stay hungry. The hotel is a bit far from the center but you have plenty of transport options at the square it is located and can be downtown in less than 20 min.
All in all a quite good hotel for its price.

“A good hotel, but priced too high for the market it serves”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Hotel Allegro Wien is a good hotel priced at an outstanding hotel... That said, while the services are limited, they do make ones stay most comfortable. Hotel Allegro Wien is not the posh, upscale hotel, but don't let this be the only deciding factor. The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept in a hotel, the hotel is clean, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay amenable - hotel qualities that are paramount to any successful stay.

The breakfast spread is pretty basic, but then it is also fresh and satisfying. The rooms are clean, but they are older too. The hotel is a little older, and thus "well worn", but still comfortable. The only drawback is the street side rooms are right next to the rail station, and likewise it is pretty noisy with the trains running by and station announcements. Even still, I slept like a baby as the beds were so comfortable.

They do have free internet for their guests, which is also a big plus. Being so close to the bahn also makes it an ideal hotel for getting around the city.

You will like your stay here, though it is a little pricey for what is offered, I would say it is on the high side, but still a good value. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the courtyard, away from the front - the train station is just across the road from...
