This is a beautiful clean hotel with an excellent breakfast. The Kids Eat Free policy helped us save money. The location is very good, within walking distance to the Ringstrasse (about 15 minutes) and a four minute walk to the closest U-Bahn. The area is safe (it is Vienna after all). The room was very large and four of us fit comfortably.

The breakfast includes cheese,ham, smoked salmon and other fish, fruit, yogurt, granola, apple streudel, pastries, croissants, bread, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon and Vienna sausages. Beverages such as hot chocolate, coffee, tea, assorted juices and water were included.

The hotel staff is very nice. The evening staff knew more about the area and were better "tour experts" than the morning staff. They were all good at giving directions.

I highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Vienna (children ages 11 and 8).

I stayed here for a two day business trip.

The rooms seemed to be eiter new or remodeled and were of an okay size. The decor was reasonably nice.

The area features a couple of restaurants, but of course isn't exactly downtown.

All in all it is a very standard holiday inn with nothing execeptionally good or bad about it. I might stay here again.

There is Wifi - free for half an hour, chargeable for a longer period.

I have stayed here around 5 or 6 times over the last 8 months.
It is in a good location with good restaurants and bars nearby in the Margerten district. It is easy to get into the city centre on the underground that is only a 5 minute walk away. The Nachtsmarkt is also right next to the station.
The hotel rooms are well appointed and the staff are very helpful. On noticing it was to be my birthday during one stay they left out a card and chocolate that I found on my return, nice touch.

We spent 3 nights at the HI Vienna City as a New Year Break We received an upgrade to a Garden Room which had a large sleeping area with twin beds pushed together and a sofa and table There was a separate wardrobe area and the bathroom was a reasonable size with a good shower

We didn't eat in the hotel as breakfast was expensive at €15 each We used a little Italian restaurant - The Blaue Lagune - which is just next to the hotel on
two nights for dinner

The hotel is about 10 minute walk to the nearest U-Bahn station but as we found out on the last night it is also only about 20 minutes walk to the city centre

In summary a very good hotel in a great location for anyone wanting to explore the main tourist sites of Vienna
