I stayed here for one week with classmates during a law school event. The best thing about it was that the front desk staff was always very helpful about calling cabs and giving us directions. They even explained which trains to take at which times of day.
The accommodations are adequate, but there were certain things that annoyed me about it. I will describe them and you can decide if it's worth it for you to stay here. First, the wireless internet only worked for 1 member of our group (of 7) in the rooms. The rest of us had to sit in the lobby to use it. Even my brand new MacBook Pro wouldn't get online upstairs! Internet went out altogether twice while I was there. The "business center" consists of one computer in the lobby with internet that creeps slower than my grandmother. The computer at the front desk is equally slow, so getting them to print anything was a 20 min ordeal.
The beds were pretty hard and pillows were overstuffed, though certainly not the worst I've had.
The breakfast is good, lots of options. Similar to one I had at a Best Western in London.
The location is close enough to the Ring that ambitious tourists can easily take public transit or simply walk to the sites downtown. Especially if you are not rushing to get anywhere. However, if walking 15 + minutes is a strain for you, you will probably want to either stay in the Ring itself or save some money and stay in the suburbs. There is only 1 tram line that comes within a 5 min walk of the hotel, so if you are not going to walk the 15 mins to the underground station, then you are going to wait just as long as the people who stayed in the suburbs. There is nothing special about the neighborhood itself, just its proximity to the Ring.
