Hadn't stayed in a traditional pension before. This one occupied two floors in what must have been an old apartment building now mostly offices. Quiet, clean, cozy. Ringstrasse tram stop right out front and U bahn stop two blocks away. Easy walk to most sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spotless. Affordable by most standards.

This hotel has an ideal location in the famous Rinstrasse. There is a tram station in front of the hotel and an U-Bahn station in 3 minutes walk. It is a very commercial area, you can find drugstore next to the hotel, lots of restaurants and minimarkets. The Post office is two blocks behind the hotel. You can go walking in 10 minutes or less to the Opera house. Even though it is expensive for me , 93 euros per night, it was worthy because it includes the huge breakfast and the use of internet on the computer available for all the guests. The staff is very helpful and friendly . The room was clean and the bathroom was big and clean as well.

We were told our room wasn't available due to mechanical problems. They would move us to another Best Western property and take us there by taxi. Only problem was that the new location was 2 miles from the Ringstrasse. We did not accept. We wanted to be in the Ringstrasse so that we could walk to all attractions. Moving to the other hotel would require us to taxi or subway everywhere. After much distress and arguement they agreed to book us into another Ringstrasse hotel. The new hotel that we picked was wonderful. Do not "settle" with hotel's suggestion in matters like these. Get what you paid for even it takes arguement and extra time. The new hotel was Astoria Hotel - Europa. WONDERFUL! See that review!

DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL!!! STAY AWAY! we got there early in the morning and they did not have a room for us yet so we put our staff in storage and went out to see the city, then we came back around 5 ready to rest in our room and they told us that there were leaks in the rooms and they had arranged for us to go to another hotel which was just as good. Having no choice we left only to find out they had put us in a horrible pension. The employee at the front desk had clearly deceived us sending us to a much worse hotel in a MUCH worse location (which is the only great thing that pension arenberg has in the first place)
