What more could you ask for from a centrally located hotel. Great breakfast offering cold meats, cheeses and bread. Perfect continental brekkie. Our room was cosy, comfortable and cleaned to a high standard every day. What makes this hotel even better is its location. Only 100m from St Stephans Cathedral and seconds away from all the shops, bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and informative.

This hotel is very centrally located and has a boutique style feel, breakfast is good. However, on the day we arrived, we put our laundry in and the receptionist circled the 'express' box whithout informing up that that cost double the amount. Our clothes did not come back in good condition. They had shrunk and we felt they had been tumble dried. We also found the washing powder to be a skin irritant. When we informed management, they refused to take responsibilty. The air conditioning was poor and there were roadworks outside which woke us up at 6am. We also had to ask for toilet paper and for our rooms to be cleaned.

We loved the Amadeus! It is a small hotel - so has no bar - but is so close to St Stephans Platz and loads of great bars this is not a problem. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great although if you are looking for cooked food then a boiled egg is as far as they stretch, but delicious breads, meats, smoked salmon etc. Vienna is fab for New Year and the Amadeus is just round the corner from Hoher Markt where there were some great bands playing.

5 mature couples for a long weekend in Vienna. Very central position and close to the cathedral. Everything within walking distance, but a very quiet road. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, knowledgable and professional and spoke excellent english. The rooms were clean and comfortable, continental breakfast fine and numerous restaurants around the corner
