The location of the hotel is just marvellous, in the centre, subway station is a few steps away.
Building is impressive, very well renovated, it was a pleasure to be accommodated there.
Room was furnished in old 19th century style, but bathroom looked quite modern and overal impression was really good including common areas.
Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food, everything fresh and very tasty.
I definitely can recommend.

I stayed only for a night but I can really recommend this hotel.
Hotel room was very spacey and clean. The view wasn't the best but that was alright for only one night.
Breakfast was excellent but for international guests it would be nice to have some labels so one knows what all this food is.
The only downside was the noise of cleaning ladies in the hall way. I am not sure if shouting to each other over the noise of the vacuum cleaner early in the morning is really necessary.

Just got back from an eight day stay in Vienna. Hotel Kummer was our home away from home.
Staff was very helpful with our reservations, even when we had trouble with US Credit cards not working well overseas. Beautiful, great full breakfast, excellent food and room service. Helpful staff at front desk, restaurant and bar. Beds were very comfy, bathroom immaculate and loads of hot water. Very centrally located and near the Uban(subway) While not a luxury hotel, it was beautiful, clean and friendly plenty luxourious for us and great location and very reasonably priced. Can't say enough good things. Made our stay.

On positive side: good location, beautiful historic building, delicious breakfast. But: fingers stains on mirror, hair from previous guest in the shower cabin, spider nets at the lamps ... Do not accept ..24 rooms as they are located just next to the lift shaft and it is vwery noisy. Had to search for a receptionist at 10pm by check-in, found her at the bar - lovely!

We found the hotel in a desperate "last minute" search and we were lucky to find a room for 3 person in August. The staff was very helpful, offered a good deal for the room and breakfast and the room was ready even if it was early morning.
The hotel is very well maintained and clean. The parking is really across the street and the negotiated price for one day was reasonable.
We had a triple room and with suitcases there was plenty of space; room very silent, clean and comfortable.
During the night we had a little health emergency (toothache) and they helped us find an open pharmacy, called ahead to explain the problem (we do not speak German), called a taxi for us to get there and made sure everything was ok.
Good breakfast. Surely suggest spend a little more than a 3 star hotel but have reliable service,
