This was about our 7th time in the Starlight Renngasse. I booked the room about at noon and arrived 3 p.m., but the staff had time enough to leave refresheners and greeting card in our room - O.K. for repeaters - and means something.
The hotel is 4 stars: it's out of question. /Would be interesting to know the reasons of a 2 stars review of a hotelier - but I'm a globetrotter on a special way...from Frisco to Hong Kong, from Iceland to Barcelona - and could negotiate about...
The location is perfect: at once leaving the hotel road you are on pedestrian streets, and this is the inner stadt directly. In the rooms (suites anyway for a price of a room, with separated sleeping and living area) one can find safe, micro, small fridge, 2 televisions, a cheap minibar..and mostly silence and quietness. Suitable for sleeping only, relaxing when it's necessary (except the pillows /too soft/. The breakfast is o.k. too...even for a 6 courses breakfast menu you can book in the Grand or the Bristol.:)
To book is very easy, after booking not bad to send a mail if you have any requests: these will be fulfilled naturally and with fast confirmation. The staff is very polite and helpful, with excellent English.
If I could propose something, it would be more informations to the guests in the rooms, this is the only thing that under the 4 stars level.
