“The best hotel of our holiday.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

We were extremely happy with our stay at Holiday Inn, Feldkirch. The best sleep we ever had, the beds were so comfortable. The rooms were very big and modern with big flat television and even speaker that went into the bathroom.

Buffet breakfast excellent and it was also nice to have a buffet dinner. The food was made to the area of Austria so depending on your pallet you will enjoy it alot. The breakfast was the best where there was so much to choose from, breads, hot food, even pancakes and waffles, cereals, fruit and any other breakfast thing you can think of. Five star breakfast.

I would definately recommend this hotel.

“Convenient and adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

I stayed here overnight in order to take the early morning car train to Vienna. The reception staff were helpful enough to explain a short cut to the station to miss the complex traffic junction in town, but it is less than five minutes anyhow. The facilities were fine and staff pleasant enough. There is a restaurant which appeared to be open on a Sunday evening but no one was in it - not even any staff. There was a menu board outside but it was all set up to convey the impression that they really did not want you to use it. I did not have breakfast as I planned to have it on the train - which was cheaper - and helped pass the time - though the hotel breakfast looked perfectly OK. With the unwelcoming restauarant it was necessary to find somewhere in the town on a Sunday night but this was not difficult and I ate very well in a local Beisl. Finding coffee at 7 am the next morning was not possible in town and I had to wait til I had put my car on the train. The car park looked a little worrying with its large signs denying responsiblity for the vehicles parked there. It is also hugely expensive for a car park in a small town. The hotel offers no discount though there is a lift directly from the parking into the lobby. As I had driven from UK and my car was stuffed full I decided to trust the parking but in retrospect I think free street parking woudl have been just as good. For a convenient overnight when using the train with or without car this is fine. Although it is 7 - 8 hours to Vienna I think this is a better option than the overnight train which is expensive if you want a sleeper cabin and very noisy - nowhere near the quality of the night train to and from Zurich whcih is also ÖBB but does not take cars..

I stayed in this Holiday Inn during my recent trip to Austria. Plus points of hotel are:
- Nice Location
- Good Indoor Swimming Pool and Sauna, Steam Bath
- Big Rooms

Negative are:
- No Tea Coffee Making machine
- No free parking. Free parking is at 5-10 minutes walk

All in all, it was decent hotel to stay.

“Convenient Location in Feldkirch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2010

This hotel is conveniently located at the edge of the pedestrian zone in Feldkirch, next to the convention hall. When we were there, the hotel seemed to be almost full of conference attendees, and to be honest, perhaps a bit overwhelmed. It was two to three minutes walk to the main pedestian street with restaurants, etc. The room was standard Holiday Inn fare, nothing special, but clean. The only problem I encountered was at check out, when the front desk clerk tried to charge me a much higher rate than that which I received on my reservation confirmation. I had booked the room at the Holiday Inn website for 119 Euro per night for two adults, breakfast included. The clerk first wanted to charge me 154 Euro, then tried to tell me I had to pay extra for the second breakfast. Luckily I had the confirmation printed out, so I simply refused to pay any more than the agreed upon 119 Euro. All's well that ends well, I guess. This hotel is about 20 minutes drive from Vaduz, Liechtenstein so is a convenient alternative when visiting there.

“nice hotel in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2009

We spent one night here on our way to Zurich. It is walking distance to downtown and close to many restaurants. Staff was polite and efficient. We were given a room on the top floor with a walk out balcony and great view. Rooms are decent size for European standards and have all the ammenities you need. The "American" breakfast is very expensive and not worth the price. There are several other options within walking distance. The train station is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. A great little town, friendly people and many restaurants to choose from.
