I took my family to Germany for three weeks and this was one of the stops. The location of the city is just perfect to start a tour of the lake. The hotel is more like a Casino Hotel which is not really what I like. The hotel staff is just OK and the hallways and rooms are pretty rundown. I would never call this a 4 star hotel under North American standards but great as a pit stop.

Once you are in, try walking out and checking out the lake shore. There is a few restaurants and bars and even some street fairs almost all year round. If you can, do not have breakfast at the hotel but go to Lindau, just 20 mins away and go to Nana across from the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. They have the best deal on breakfast right in front of the lake. Don't forget to have a Mimosa.

Ourf wheelchair accessable room was very adaquite with a nice bath. The lift was quite large. The beds were compfortable and the room clean and quiet. We enjoyed a wonderful evening meal at the hotel both of the days we spent here. Both evening we were able to strike up conversation with other guests that lead to several hours of conversation....most enjoyable. We enjoyed a nice stroll along the water and even made a few Euros at the casino accross the drive.

The hotel is located opposite the theatre, 5 minutes walk from the beautiful lake promenade. Rooms with standard furniture, but very clean and cosy. Only disadvantage: there is no air conditioning (but the room was provided with a fan).
