“Lovely welcoming hotel”

August summer holiday in a beautiful family-run hotel full of friendly staff who all seemed part of the family. The food was excellent and different every night of our 10 day stay. You also must have a lovely fried egg - AnnMarie is a perfect example of how warm and friendly the people are. The facilities are better than advertised, e.g. the coffee and cakes, the 3 pools and the sun-bathing area. Location is only a 5 minute walk into a very interesting town. Did I mention the spacious rooms, cleanliness......Wonderful!!

Room Tip: we had a junior suite - plenty of room for 2

“An excellent hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

This was a first trip and it was wonderful. The big factor was the friendliness of the staff from the top down. The family kids were in and out which weas really nice and added to the family effect and the two dogs are 'beauts'! One of the nicest hotels ever. Just being a little 'picky' airconditioning would be nice at night but would be difficult to put in, I guess, being an old hotel but everything was perfect. Would certainly go again!

“Beautifull garden, nice pool, good service, food a bit dull”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

We stayed in hotel Erika in June 2011.

The hotel has a beautiful garden and nice view. Its very peacefull. Even though our room faced the road, the noise wasn´t bad.

The rooms are large enough, clean and with a pleasant atmosphere. It was nice seating at the balcony.

The pool area is beautiful, with alot of light and view to the garden. What we didnt like was that the sauna´s were most of the time closed. We asked to use them at the reception, but than it takes time and they only activate one or two kinds of Sauna´s.

Further the service was lovely, friendly without exageration. We liked mostely our waiter, who was really kind and amusing.

Breakfast was good, fresh, with salads, u could have and egg in all kind of combination.

Half of us are vegetarians. The soup or main course in the evening and the desserts where good. The main course for vegetarians was every day pasta. Since there is no choice in vegetarian dish, that was a dissapointment. From day to day there wasn´t much difference in the kind of Pasta we got. The meat dishes and fish were good.

Another minus point is for the internet. There is no wirelss internet in the rooms. That´s quite anoying.

All in all, we had a lovely time. Also the location is good, you can walk to the center in only few minutes and you can use the hotel bikes for free. Thats a reall plus!

Room Tip: I would take the most upper floors and facing the garden.

“CAN'T FAULT THE ERIKA FOR FRIENDLINESS, FACILITIES AND GREAT FOOD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2011

We have just returned from a skiing trip and a stay at the Hotel Erika. The location is perhaps not the best for the ski lits but we took the shuttle bus in the morning and walked back in the afternoon and its only a 10 minute walk through the village centre.
We were greeted by the friendly owners and shown to our room which was a large room with balcony. Very comfortable beds ensured we had a good nights rest. The staff at the Erika are second to none and this is an extremely friendly hotel with returning guests. The food at breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal, we simply could not fault the quality of food. The spa and pool are a great place to unwind after skiing and the hydrotherapy jets fantastic to pummel those aching muscles.
Dogs are welcome and were taken for daily walks by one of the waitresses who clearly loved her job. The Erika is a fantastic place to stay whether you are skiing, walking or golfing.

“Erika Hotel - 1996-1997”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

The coziest hotel I've EVER been! Great staff, great food, great swimming pools, great bedrooms, great everything! Facebook does not allow me to put dates before 2007...I stayed there in 1996-1997. I know people who went there after me and loved it as well. I spent Christmas there and it was an unforgettable experience...I went with my whole family and it was nice (we were kids by the time and we loved it) but I think Erika has a very romantic aura so I recommend it for couples!
