During my 2 months in Austria for work, I was in and out of Innsbruck about 6 times. Everytime I tried to stay at this hotel because of the spacious clean and modern rooms, unbelievable value for money, quiet location, views, sauna and relaxation area, great breakfast, free fast internet, and friendly staff. The dinner at the restaurant here is quite good as well. I also stayed at Golden Adler, Romantik Schwarzer, Bierwirt, and the Hilton (all in Innsbruck) when I couldn't get this hotel. None of them were nearly as good.

We stayed here with the tour group and did too many hours of bus riding from here. Breakfast was good and very adequate. Dinner was very good. It was a night on our own, and hubby wasn't interested in walking the nearly 15 minutes back into Historic Innsbruck to get to our dinner reservations. We were the only ones in the restaurant while there, but the food and service was excellent. Wireless internet available in the lobby. One computer was provided for those without a computer and it was always busy. Elevators were quick and silent! Extra pillows and flat sheets were quickly brought. Could see the River Inn across the busy street. Long pedestrian walkway along the River Inn was delightful. One trail for the bikes and one for pedestrians.

I couldn't believe the disparity between the glowing reviews here, and the reality of this hotel. I started getting a bad feeling as we approached our room - the corridors were bare, the carpeting stained, and the color - a uniform, drab, beige.
The room itself looked like an IKEA-catalog reject - all the furniture looked cheap, all in light pine, and the walls were bare save one painting, which only seemed to make the room even more depressing. The room lights were very weak, but the fluorescent bed-side reading lamps had the strength of projectors. The room's A/C was extremely noisy, though luckily we could do without it. The bed was rock-hard, and the pillows uselessly soft. There were no extra pillows or blankets anywhere, just a single one for each of us.
The floor felt sticky, and in the bathroom it was stained; a note explained this was due to the use of "natural stone", and the hotel was "working on it". The shower hadn't a single shelf or anywhere to keep a shampoo bottle, and no foot-towel was provided.
The room's wired internet connection didn't work; I complained at the desk, and the best advice the clerk could give me was "did you plug it in?". After entering my room number into the computer, he said "we have a problem with the internet in that room", though couldn't explain why, knowing this issue, we were still placed there. He did offer us to switch rooms, but seeing as we were only there for one night, and it was 22:45, we declined.

I'll steer clear of this hotel chain in the future.

The rooms were large, clean and the hotel was on a very convenient location, close to the city center and also close to bus stations to reach attractions that were a bit further.
