Ibis at Innsbruck is unbeatable for its location. Step out of the main railway station and look left 10’o clock, you won’t miss it; if you don’t you just might! As a couple with our 10 year old daughter, we had booked a standard double room for 3 nights here in Sept’ 11. At 87€ per night excluding breakfast, this was a steal. The railway station offered us a variety of food options in addition to the bus connections to the many attractions. A large supermarket is located in the basement of the station and you can buy all what you want. There are several restaurants nearby as well, within walking distance. Cabs can be hired from the doorsteps of Ibis. The 1 or 2 or 3 day combo Innsbruck visitor ticket can be purchased at the first basement level in the station. You can take the hop-on hop-off bus at the station. An elevator took us up to the Ibis reception. The service is standard and the staff, courteous and helpful. There is one free internet station near the reception. The room itself was surprisingly large when compared with the other Ibis’s that we had previously stayed. Very clean, tidy and new. There's a TV, cupboards, telephone in the room. A small table with seats made us comfortable. The hotel has a central air-conditioning system which is quite welcome during the warm weather. There was absolutely no disturbance even though we were close to the station and our room was facing it. The beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom was small but excellent with hot water all the time. It would have been nice to have a mini-bar in the room. I wouldn’t bother to look elsewhere, if I returned to Innsbruck.
