“Fantastic Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

This is a very modern hotel in the heart of old town and in the viscinity of everything a leisure visitor to Innsbruck would like to do. The hotel is next to the tram/bus stop which takes you to patscherkofel, Alpine zoo, ski jump, airport and hauptbahnhof (train station). Everything else is within 200 mts of walking distance (all museums, christmas mkts, flea mkts, cafes, funiculor to go to the main ski place in innsbruck.
The hotels in Innsbruck are costlier as compared to other European cities however I found the hotel offering better value than other hotels in Innsbruck just because of its location.

We followed directions from google maps to find the hotel and found it hard to locate however later we realized that its not that far if you follow the right way and once you reach your hotel you will find everything close by.
The hotel is infact adjacent to Rathaus gallery and one should just ask for directions to Rathaus and once you reach rathaus just look for exit to adolf pitchler platz and you will see the penz.
The breafast was good and offer eggs as you like if asked. Internet over WIFI is free in the rooms.

“What A Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

What this hotel lacks in charm in makes up in bundles by location. It's really central for all the xmas markets, ice rinks and shops. The rooms are clean, modern and house keeping are very willing to provide extra pillows etc. Don't go to the bar in the evening if you don't like cigar smoke. However, there are so many bars and restuarants in Innsbruck it want spoil your visit. The Thai restuarant just around the corner from the hotel is fantastic, book a table in advance as it get very busy with locals. The breakfast is the best we have ever had in a 4 star hotel, champayne the works. We are still not sure what some of the fruits we ate, were!! All in all we loved Innsbruck and can't wait to go back.

“Boutique hotel gem with perhaps the greatest hotel breakfast I have ever had!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

I am in Innsbruck every other year and usually I like to stay in the Hotel Penz. Great location in the city! Most cities in Austria never had this kind of hotel that really reminds me of the W hotel chain. Cool modern architecture and interior and a great rooftop bar. Rooms are good, although not super-spacious but also great decor.
What really sets this hotel apart is the simply stunning breakfast. This is really a feast for foodies. And it is included in your hotel price!
For me the Penz is really a gem and I am always glad to return.

“A Solid Performance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Just a one night stay whilst on the road between Vienna and Piemonte. For this purpose it's hard to be critical. Car parking and luggage transfer very simple. A terrific breakfast but don't look for diner at the hotel restaurant - there isn't any. Nice bar which you will share with the public. On the night we visited every smoker in Innsbruck must have been there. Go outside and kill yourselves people I don't won't to breath your smoke particularly when I'm paying to stay here and you aren't! Some friendly helpful staff on the front desk on arrival and check out. Wifi didn't work in the room. Don't accept a level 1 room over the top of the outdoor Restuarant (another establishment I think) unless you don't care to get to sleep until after midnight,
