Our family of four stayed at The Penz Hotel for 2 nights while in transit from St. Anton to Munich in December/January 2o11 The hotel sits on a quiet square in downtown Innsbruck. The rooms have a modern minimalist stylist decor with functional marble bathrooms. The best feature of this hotel is it's cental location - adjacent to the old and new town - the hotel building forms part of a new small indoor shopping mall with bars and cafes which is great if its freezing outside. The highlight of the hotel has to be the atrium dining/bar on the roof. We'd go back there again just for another fantastic breakfast and enjoy the '360 degree views 'to die for'. We stayed at The Penz in winter - I can only imagine that the atrium must be quite beautiful in summer with all the doors open and potted trees in flower on the terrace. Let me just say that we were quite impressed by the quiet efficiency of the table service and the buffet presentation was exceptional - probably the best we've ever experienced during our travels each year to Europe and USA/Canada.
