“Beautiful Alps City Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

If you are looking for a winter extravaganze with history, city culture, night life and a quiet time this is the place to go! The hotel has the best breakfast, extremely spacious rooms and comfortable location in the center of the city. From here you can easily get to the slopes for skiing, enjoy the city center for the nights, walk the side streets and enjoy the culture and history of old Europe. We have come here 4 years in a row and will continue to do so during the Christmas holidays. you can enjoy the Christmas markets, good wine and local fare.

Room Tip: Ask for a deluxe room overlooking the back courtyards.

“It was just OK!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

The room was excellent as we were upgraded to a suite with upstairs/downstairs and 2 full baths. The room had air conditioning but was controlled by the hotel management who turned it off in the evening. It wasn't an issue for us but in the hotter part of the summer it would have been a problem.
The reason we got upgraded (we found out by evening) was there were two large groups that had booked rooms as a part of their tour. The hotel became a zoo in short order.
The parking situation here is unbelievably difficult. There is no place to pull into to check in to the hotel so you are reduced to circling the hotel while your spouse goes in to the front desk. They have a parking garage but you don't find this out until you check in. The entrance to the garage is extremely narrow and leads you to an ellevator for your vehicle. It then takes you down to one of two levels. You just have to guess which one you want since no one tells you where there may be an open space nor how to get there. We did finally manage but it was harrowing and nerve racking.
The hotel was OK and within easy walking distance to the main shopping area, restaurants and cafes.
My wife had to clean the upstairs shower before using it. It was full of long black hair which was a real put off for her.
All in all, we found Innsbruck to be a typical tourist trap with high prices and lots of crowds.
Regardless of what you read, there is no Wi-Fi or Internet available in your room. There are two computers you can use and I believe there is Wi-Fi available in the hotel lobby.
We would likely not visit Innsbruck or this hotel again.

Room Tip: If you're driving, get directions for their parking before you get there. The street is crazy b...

“Great Hotel, Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Probably one of the bestter hotels we stayed at in Europe. Very clean and up to date. On the river and close to many of the great sights in Innsbruck. Next to a great walking street with great shops and St John's Church (probable one of the more beautiful churches inside then most you'lle visit). A short walk across the bridge (right across the street from the hotel) and more to see. I had a great night sleep here but all the walking prbably contributed to that. You won't be disappointed with this hotel....worth the money.
