I recently stayed here on a "Girls Out" weekend to the Christmas Markets. Our tour guide booked twin rooms but when we checked in we were given one bed rooms. Even though it was clearly booked as twins the staff was very put off about changing our rooms. In addition when we walked into the room and switched on the light the fuse blew. When we told the front desk reception we were told that they would not be able to fix it until the next morning. They didn't seem to think it would be a problem for us to stay in a hotel room with NO LIGHTS! Again, they were very put off about fixing this situation. The rooms are very sparse and dated with hard, uncomforable beds however, they are very clean. The location is very good. I would not recommend this hotel and it is certainly NOT 4 Star - more like 2 at best.

We were stranded in Europe due to the volcanic ash. Our wonderful tour guide found the Maximilian Hotel for us to stay until we were able to leave. The staff was ex,.cellent meeting all our needs , they were very kind and helpful. The location was ideal we were within walking distance to the train and the old town. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with wonderful down bedding . We would definetly stay there again if we returned to Innsbuck.

As a younger traveler as interested in the nightlife as the skiing this place was all-around perfect. It's completely surrounded by all the best night hotspots in Innsbruck and the ski-bus literally stops across the street from the hotel. You're also in the central downtown area where you can find all sorts of great restaurants and shopping venues. It's overall affordable and the service is great, I'd recommend this hotel to those like myself looking to be in the middle of everything and take part in all facets of Innsbruck.

We stayed here for a week in Feb, the staff were helpful and our room was large, clean and airy, the decor is however a little dated. there weren't any tea or coffee making facilities (I think this is a british thing) but the staff were mare than happy to make us one. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of juices, fruit, pastries and cereals. All in all a nice place but nothing to rave about.
