“Beware, beware, beware”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

Pros: Nice breakfast, nice old style public rooms
Cons: The hardest parking garage ever. Forget about it if you have a large car or if you come late. Parking is first come first served and you may be blocked in the garage if you are first in. Lukewarm service at the front desk. No air conditioning, beware of neighbors smoking or crowd noise from the street with the windows open. Rooms are small and badly need renovation. Apparently the rooms on the upper floors have been renovated (flat screen tv vs old style tvs). Multi-level floors, expect stairs (a few steps) on the same floor from one end to the other, lots of fun with luggage. Elevators stops at 1/2 floors, so stopping at the 2 floor, could mean you are on the 2 1/2 floor and you have to walk down to the second floor. Again, lots of fun with luggage.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel in town

“Beware the bathroom and the parking!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

We were in Innsbruck for a friend's wedding and so I stayed overnight with another old school friend. The hotel is central and convenient for Innsbruck, which itself is not a large city.
Unfortunately the reception were not terribly interested in helping us and it required a considerable effort to gain assistance. Though we were aware that parking might be an extra (from the LastMinute.com notes) we were quite surprised that they charged us €13/night extra!
The shock of the stay was when we arrived in the room. The bathroom was glass! And entirely transparent save a very thin strip of ground-glass semi-opacity protecting a small amount of modesty. Accordingly anyone can see anything in the shower or lavatory. Perhaps were one a couple this would not be as awkward, but despite us two chaps knowing each other very well, it wasn't perhaps what we'd been hoping for. They even termed the room a 'business triple' (our third friend pulled out at the last moment).
Anyway, there was no air-conditioning, nor a fridge nor reliable WiFi signal (though it was apparently free). It was very hot all night and so all in all, though it was clean and breakfast was fine, we were fairly disappointed and certainly would not plan to stay there again.

“Good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

Good location for the ski bus and about 20 minutes from the old town.

Breakfast was good in an interesting setting.

The room was adequate but in need of renovation.

The bar had a good choice of drinks but it was sometimes smoky.

“Traditional meets modern a stone's throw from station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

Hotel Sailer was very pleasant and comfortable and had clearly been extensively renovated recently. Our double room was very modern, a nice generous size, with a semi open bathroom layout behind obscured glazed panels - those looking for more privacy may need to look for other rooms. The public areas were in a more traditional Tirolean style, with a remarkable number of stubes and other nooks and crannies. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet affair, and very nice. The location is excellent: literally 2 minutes walk from the main station but on a quiet street. Only a few minutes walk to the old town and the river.

“Excellent value for money and more”

Very close to the satation and yet away from the humdrum, nestled in a quite lane.

Good hospitality, really makes you feel at home. The restaurant and bar were really great.

All te place one wants to visit are 5 to 10 minutes walking distance -- casino, pubs, eateries, shopping centres, river side and all.

Innsbruck is a great place and this hotel does not let you down especially when you return dead tired after a long day of sight seeing.
