What a gem! Loved this hotel in the centre of the old town. Very large attic room for three adults which was delightful and extremely quiet. Superb breakfast and a choice of 3 traditional rooms to eat in. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. A fantastic choice for our Christmas break to a very beautiful city.

15 minute walk from the main railway station and just a few doors down from the Golden Roof. Plenty of dining options right near the hotel (from nice restaurants to McDonalds ). We had an awesome room (409) with a balcony looking over to the mountains. Room had a lounge and very comfortable bed, and our sons were a floor below in room 33. The breakfast room was one of the nicest I have dined in, and it somehow didn't feel wrong to be eating freshly made warm apple strudel for breakfast. We hired bikes from Rent A Bike on Leopoldstrasse 4 and did a 22km ride around the old town. There is a Bubblepoint laundromat nearby and a supermarket for quick supplies and enough for an easy dinner in our own room. None of the floors are level - everything slopes and it is decorated beautifully. The owners and reception staff were so delightful - from email contact when booking to the check in and out, we were totally impressed by their warmth and friendliness. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our room faced the street. Very noisy pedestrian traffic at night if the windows open. Closing them solved the problem.  Not sure if this would be very good in summer, but in October it was ok.
Very old building which had been tastefully renovated and attractively furnished.
A Lift is provided to all levels.
No internet access in our room, however, there is out on the landing and in the reception area.
A Generous breakfast was provided. Particularly enjoyed the water bath provided in  which we could make our own boiled eggs.
I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Weisses Kruez is an old and historic guesthouse located just steps away from the iconic Golden Roof of Innsbruck. The cable car to Seegrube is also a short walk away. Therefore, the location of the Weisses Kreuz makes it a suitable base to explore Innsbruck.

The hotel does not have much facilities or in-room amenities but they are nonetheless comfortable and the showers are in good working conditions.There were no air conditioners in the classic room and we had to resort to using the windows which could be a problem for light sleepers as the street could get rather noisy in the evening due to the cafes and restaurants downstairs.

However, this is compensated for the beautiful views of the Golden Roof and the surrounding mountains if you go the street-facing rooms.

The highlight of the stay in Weisses Kreuz is probably the breakfast which takes place in one of their 3 beautiful breakfast rooms. My favourite is the Tiroler Stube where we managed to get a street facing seat where we could see the Golden Roof against a backdrop of the mountains.

Breakfast is unlike the usual scrambled eggs and fried eggs. There were more cold cuts, cheese, pastries and bread instead.

Overall, the Weisses Kreuz is a decent hotel with all the basic amenities, an excellent location with a gorgeous breakfast to start your day before exploring Innsbruck.
