We stayed for one night in this hotel as part of a Cosmos tour around Europe in April 2011.
The hotel is a little way out of the centre of Innsbruck, and is unfortunately located right opposite an industrial estate. However, we were told that the hotel had been there for 30 years and so I suspect the industrial estate came later! If you can look over the top of the ugly buildings, the views from the balconies out towards the mountains are spectacular.
The hotel is presently undergoing some renovation works and there was a warning sticker up on the wall by the lift, apologising for any inconvenience. We weren't disturbed at all, but this may be because it was Easter weekend and also because we arrived late afternoon and left very early the following morning.
Our room was one of the ones which had been renovated and although it was small, it was really nicely done. Except... Whoever had cut the glass/plastic for the shower door hadn't cut it long enough, the result of which was a sodden bathroom floor after I'd taken a shower! Other minor niggles were no tissues in the bathroom and no face flannels either. Just small things, but they're what stopped this hotel from getting top marks, in my opinion.
We had an included meal here, which was adequate. There was soup with shredded pancake in, which was a tad bizarre, but the salad was delicious and the main course was fine. Breakfast was nice as well.
After dinner we spent some time in the newly refurbished bar, which we loved. There was great music playing and the barman was extremely friendly and helpful.
All in all, a really nice little hotel!
