I stayed for two nights as part of a two month trip throughout Europe. After a while, it is really easy to incur high-costing hotel bills. This hotel is affordable for those on a tighter budget, but still want to enjoy the luxuries of a hotel stay.

Like many of the Star Inn Hotel's - the deco is modern, the rooms are big and clean, and the beds are comfortable. I didn't find the staff particularly helpful or nice. Breakfast is not included in a standard room. The hotel is located near a shopping center, so my boyfriend and I actually just drove to the nearby Ikea for breakfast and supplies for our trip!

The only challenging part about the hotel was its location. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to those who did not own/rent a car. It's quite far from the city center, so it makes traveling to the center of Salzburg rather challenging. We didn't find parking to be a problem at the hotel or at the city center. We had quite a bit of difficulty locating the hotel on our GPS and required assistance from a local tourist center. Make sure you plan your route carefully and watch out for the rotaries. Aside from that, I would highly recommend the hotel.

The Star Hotel is located in a shopping area off the main highway to Salzburg. There was bus service into the city, but we had our car and it was a straight shot to the main parking garage by the cathedral from the hotel. We were put off by the industrial location, but the hotel was nice and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a nice buffet, but it was expensive. We figured it would cost almost as much to go to the nearby Burger King and at least here we had healthy options. Salzburg is a beautiful city but the hotels downtown can be expensive. Staying at the Star in their family room allowed us to save a little money while not being too far from the sights.

Clean, well-priced rooms with ensuite. No refrigerator. No couch. Very bare rooms. No character/atmosphere. Ordinary breakfast. Perfect for a stop-over if all you need is a bed, but not suitable for anything else really.

Nice and recent hotel. The rooms are very clean. And the staff is very helpfull. I loved their breakfast, they had everything, fresh bread, yoghurt, fresh meat, etc... I booked a tour, and the hotel was encluded, so I don't know how much they paid the hotel. As a road hotel, or a airport hotel it's really good, for a longer stay it's to far away from the center of the city.
