Finding the hotel was quick and easy - about a ten-minute walk from the main station of Salzburg (with small children in tow!) and we were there!
The staff were friendly, and equally comfortable with my stumbling German or English. They gave us tips on what to see and when, when asked, and if we needed anything they were more than willing to help out - even to the point of booking guided tours (eg, to the salt mine!) and arranging for the tour bus to pick us up from the hotel.
Breakfast was good and filling - with a wide selection, sure to satisfy any reasonable person.
Definitely a place I'd stay again, next visit to Salzburg!

We only stayed one night. I have no complaints whatsoever. The price was right and included a good breakfast. Location is great, very close to train station and not far from downtown; 10 minutes at a normal pace. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The bathroom was also a nice size. Everything was perfectly clean even though there was snow and a lot of slush on the ground. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accomodating. You can't ask for more. We couldn't turn the TV on (possibly operator error) but didn't ask for help either. If there was a problem, it would've been corrected immediately, no doubt. I don't hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone.

Our family of five found Pension Adlerhof within walking distance of the historic center of Salzburg, and very close to the train station and buses to other attractions. The hotel offers a good breakfast and clean accommodations, with a helpful staff. They even worked to accommodate us when we added a third night. The drawbacks were the hotel accepts no credit cards (there go your airline miles) and is located on a busy street across from an adult entertainment shop. It would therefore be a good idea to ask for a room not facing the street, also because the curtains are translucent, and there is a bright neon sign outside that stays on all night. There was quite a bit of noise from the street, so we were forced to keep our windows closed, making it quite hot inside. There are several comparably priced hotels on quieter streets nearby that do accept credit cards, so I am not sure we would return. Overall, however, the accommodations were adequate for our three-night stay, and the price was reasonable.

This is my second stay at this hotel and was once again very impressed. The staff here are a real asset! They are welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem. The hotel is located close to the train station but only a short walk to the old town. Breakfast was a huge feast each day and with lots of variety. The rooms are modern, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Free WiFi was an added bonus of this hotel. The hotel provides a perfect base to explore the delights of Salzburg and certainly complements your visit to this beautiful city.
I definately recommend this hotel!
