We stayed here for one night in December of 2011. Our room was updated and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and nice. The breakfast buffet in the morning is great and included with the reasonably priced rooms. Relatively close walk to anything you want to see, or close to bus stop.

I spent a weekend in Salzburg and stayed at the Hofwirt. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Old Town along a brightly lit shopping street, so is very easy to get to. The hotel was very very clean and pleasant with comfy beds and a really very nice bathroom with a lovely shower. Rooms have a small safe for valuables although ours stuck locked a couple of times so we had to ask reception for help to retrieve our things! Free, fast WiFi was a big bonus. Breakfast was good, continental style food and there was lots of variety. The hotel is decorated in a bright, modern style and although not luxurious it has everything you need for a comfy stay.

The hotel gives excellent value, we a simple but functional and nice doubleroom on the backside. There is nothing missing at the breakfast, free wifi in the lobby and in some of the rooms. The hotel is walking distance to all curiosities in town and there are some parking spots at the property. Friendly and competent personnel.

Great value for money. Price of room increased for weekend nights. Great having a public computer. Free parking.Helpful staff. Close to town rather than railway station.
