This is such a lovely, small hotel. Very cozy and relaxing... cannot ask for more! I am so glad I chose this hotel (there are many to choose from in Salzburg). Stefanie, the wonderful lady running the hotel, was so welcoming and made sure that we had an enjoyable stay. Everything about this hotel is just so special!!! We plan to stay here again the next time we visit.

Rosenvilla was the perfect stay from the moment we arrived to our departure.
The staff are genuinely friendly and are willing to assist you with any questions.
The location is good, the rooms are beautiful and airy and the bath products they place in the room are wonderful. The breakfast on the terrace amongst the roses was very relaxing and the selection of food and drink was impressive.
There are some nice little touches at this hotel, like cleaning the windscreen of your car overnight. My family and I felt incredibly welcome at this hotel and it was a nice experience after being just one of many at some big “five-star” hotels.

Let's get this right, there is apparently a hotel Rosenvilla and a hotel Rose Villa. It is the ROSENVILLA that I am reviewing. Rooms are large, immaculatly presented, very modern bathroom with perfect attention to every detail.

Breakfast has to be seen to be believed. The selection and variety are amazing. The staff will gladly cook you beautiful scrambled or soft boiled eggs. Service at breakfast is efficient and pleasant.

The location is in a leafy suburb some 15-20minutes flat walking from the old city. Only two local restaurants, a pub / tavern and Chinese. If it is raining or your do not have a car you have very limited choices. Plently of free parking available.

Family run hotel managed by a very pleasant young lady, Stephanie who goes out of her way to ensure you enjoy your stay and excellent command of English language. Free tea making facilities in the evening and a very large and well stocked mini bar in common area.

I have a real issue with the hotel advertising free Wi Fi. Which to many people is not an issue, however, to the WiFi dependent Aussie family, relying on internet for family and business communication it is a major issue.

On registering we were told that the WiFi had been upgraded. Great, however, there was no signal.Enquiries met with some indifference. Finallly told that a technician was due to arrive the day we were leaving (after 4 days). We were faced with a 3-4km walk to McDonalds free WiFi to activate the internet. Not at all satsfactory Room for improvement @ E145 per night you should expect and get better.

Our recent stay at the Hotel Rosenvilla in Salzburg was pure delight. A small, boutique hotel located on the bus line or a short scenic walk from the center of town, it was an excellent value and a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a refreshing special welcome beverage, then shown to our lovely room furnished in warm wood furnishings with a lovely view of the garden and pond below. The bath was sleek and modern and immaculate. Each morning began with in the chic breakfast area or on the lovely patio with a mind boggling array of meats, cheeses, yogurts, cakes, breads, juices, jams, honeys, and eggs cooked to order. They presentation of these foods was exquisite, and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming.
Salzburg is a charming city, but with narrow streets bustling with tourists it was a welcome respite to come back each evening to the Rosenvilla's lovely, calm setting. We heartily recommend it as an excellent place to stay in Salzburg.
