“Nice big modern room, friendly staff, value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We stayed in the hotel in September for 4 nights. As we booked our room 9 months in advance, we got a good deal for the room which including breakfast. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel and in Salzburg. As the hotel was doing the rennovation, they upgraded us to a newly rennovated room at higher floor. The room looks very nice, clean, tidy, modern and big. The bed is very comfortable, too. As we asked for a quiet room, they gave us a room not facing the main road which is nice and quiet.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We love the breakfast including nice yoghurt, fresh fruit, bacon, sausages, eggs, cornflakes, dried fruit, good varities of tea. There is so much food you can choose from and it's not easy you can find this kind of good breakfast in Europe.
We also love free car park provided by the hotel. The only disadvantage is they don't have free internet service.
Overall we had a great time in this hotel and we will stay here again if we go back.

Room Tip: If you love quiet room, ask for the one not facing the main road.

“Good hotel, wrong location?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Overall pleasant hotel, with great breakfast included. Only 10' away from donwtown Salzburg. But walking home from a long late night in town, we had to cross the same neighbourhood, but now populated with prostitutes... Not aggressive by any mean, but not the most pleasant environment, with car drivers passing by to have an ogle...
Hotel is undergoing refurbishment, which meant that the sauna wasn't opened, shame as it was freezing when we were there!

Dear MrWery,

Thank you very much for your posting. We are happy to read that the overall impression of our hotel was to your satisfaction.

We are in close contact with police in order to get rid of the described problem and are happy to inform, that first progress have been made. As it seems like the locations are on permanent move all over Salzburg (as in a lot of other cities as well) we are quite optimistic, that the problem will be solved within a few days.

“Great hotel but little far in winter from everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We stayed here on new years and given the snow and cold temperatures it was a little far to go to see the touristy stuff at midnight however there were fireworks everywhere around that could kind of be seen from the room. Buses went past the hotel which were a good option. Train is about 10 min walk. Some restaurants are close but no quick food available that we could see for a 10 min walk.
Room itself was great. We upgraded to a suite and it had wireless Internet which was great. Unfortunately only had signal from sitting room not bedroom but that was ok. Great room and bathroom. Staff were awesome! Would stay here again in warmer temperatures. Note: Would recommend taxi to airport as under 20 euro!

Dear Ser579,
Thank you very much for your recommendation! We are happy to read that you were pleased with your stay.
In Salzburg we have a very efficient Bus System. Bus station is only 2 walking minutes from the Hotel. Bus Nr.2 brings you directly to Mirabell Garden, Main Railway Station as well as to Airport. We recommend to purchase 24 Hours Tickets in advance at € 3,20 per day - you get them at almost every tobacconist.
Kind regards from Salzburg
