Wonderfully converted palazzo, turned into a quality hotel. Spacious rooms overlooking the main church. I was there just before Christmas and there was a light dusting of snow and a good Chriskindlmarkt to add to the atmosphere. Excellent restaurant with local specaliities, and offering a good breakfast selection in the morning, including really well cooked scrambled eggs. The staff very helpful.

We selected this hotel following Tripadvisor's reviews. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the personnel. The building's renaissance court is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious, but most of them have almost no view due to the narrow alley on the building side. Overall I would recommend this place to stay for it's perfect location and friendly service, however time is coming to make a facelift to the 80's rooms decoration. The mattress had already seen better times.

This was an expensive hotel but worth every penny - even though the pound/euro exchange rate at the time made it even more expensive!!

The room we had was really comfortable (all the rooms were individually designed) - really comfortable bed - spacious bathroom, and you had the feeling that the people who ran the place wanted the experience to be really special. Really friendly staff, and food and everything was excellent.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent customer service, very friendly staff. This is probably the best (and exclusisve) hotel in Klagensfurt. It is very elegant and clean. It is also very safe, in the upscale city center and next to a police substation.
Klagenfurt is a beautiful small city, and can be a convenient location for traveling to other countries or locations.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. We stayed here in mid-October 2008 for 4 nights, then went to Italy for 2 nights, then back here for 2 nights. Very relaxing.
We do recommend that if one books a room here, please get a room on the second or third floor. There are a lot of smokers at the bar and restaurant, and the smoke travels. Hopefully Austria (and Italy) will improve on this habit.
