This modern Hostel on the outskirts of Klagenfurt is a modern building with excellent standards.
In the hostel complex there is restaurant, terrace, bar, cofee bar, living room with TV. Plenty of tables and chairs in a nice garden setting, Reception has internet access where you can upload photos if required.
There is on street parking and a little on site which are free of charge.
The rooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds and fresh linen. Heating is controllable there.
The shower room is separate to the toilet room and there is a little hall area for hanging jackets and luggage storage within the room. There is plenty of hanging and storage space and each bed has it's own reading light.
There are no toiletries in the bathroom and no towels, though I am certain you can hire towels from reception. The shower cubicle is quite large and the shower was very powerful.
Breakfast is about €5 but is quite basic and to be honest your money would be better spent in a nearby cafe, of which there are a few.
Klagenfurt City is not really walkable if you are in a hurry, however the number 10,11, 12 buses go from very nearby and for €1.80 they will transport you to the city centre in about 10 minutes.
There is an excellent EuroSpar and Lidl supermarket 10 minutes walk from the hostel where you can buy everything you could possilby need.
Woerthersee Lake is a mere 15 minutes walk from the hostel and this is well worth a visit. In summer you can swim, sail and canoe there.
Also, the Lake side park which is adjacent to the lake has some excellent sculptures and a lovely pond with a fountain and wildlife. There is a little cafe beside the pond with indoor and outdoor seating.
Mini Mundo is here too, this is where many of the worlds most famous structures are replicated in miniature.
The interesting Klagenfurt University campus is only 10 minutes walk from the hostel. Here there is a very good selection of cafes and restaurants and there is a great atmosphere on a sunny day when students, visitors and teachers alike meet up at the cafes.
