I say that because, the dog room is one of the worst laid-out rooms I ever stayed in. It is located on the ground floor just off the parking lot. There is a single small window that you have to keep covered or else anybody can see in. This makes the long and narrow room very dark. But the worse part were the two single beds arranged in an L-shape pattern. So, if you're two singles, that is OK, but as a couple, not so nice.

The hotel is located close enough to the center and the breakfast buffet was decent. Staff was helpful. And they were not rude to us because of the dog in any respect, just that the dog room is blah.

In the end I'm going to give it a thumbs up because I just have to believe the normal rooms are much better. But if traveling with your pet, look into a different place.

I like the hotel pretty much: it is pleasant and cosy, with many modern art pieces in corridors and other nice small surprises, such as a library on the first floor, where from books could be borrowed. The location is optimal. The members of the stuff were very nice. I had forgotten my jacket in the hotel and they sent it back to me immediately, to the another state, on their own expense.

We made a reservation for a double room with WC and bath or shower. On arrival we were tolde that they have been overbooked because there were many visitors to Klagenfurt during these particular days, and they had only a room withiut WC and Bath/shower available. There were no apologies. We were told the reservation was confirmed by a person who was not at work on the day of our arrival and, therefore, they cannot do anything. A maid took pity and found us a tiny one-person room with a double bed. We were promised a proper room next day, but on that day were told nothing is available. No apologies. We demanded to see the proprietor and after some serious words were finally put into a family room.

There are no non-smoker rooms.

The building itself is nice, the breakfast buffet is good, you can get something to eat at any time of day ot night, there is parking space, the location is excellent. The official Austrian rating is three stars. But I would never trust their logistics.
