I've just been there with my team mates for a basketball tournament...nothing to say about the hotel....very first class.....but disappointed by the fact that the Spa is open from 07 am but all the services there start from 12....so from 07 to 12 you can only relax or swim in the swimming pool...no saunas or steam bath or all the treatments....If they correct this, the hotel could well be a 5 star !!!

The hotel has everything you want, the breakfast is excelent , the design is modern and elegant, the rooms are big and cosy. If you want an unforgettable experience in Klagenfurt take a bike from the hotel and see all around the lake Worthersee. C"est magnifique!

I have been staying in Lindner for 8 weeks now and I think it is by far the best hotel in Klagenfurt. Spacious rooms, good breakfast, nice views, decent fitness and pool. Try to avoid rooms with odd numbers - they are facing the street and are louder. Also, for you business travelers, some rooms are just above a cafe and you can hear the music until midnight. However, most of the time you can just hear the frogs from the lake:)

Stayed here mid-way through a 10 day business trip in Europe. Room was great, loved the shower and heated floor in the bathroom area. Hated: the 2nd hand smoke in the bar. They had one non-smoking bar near the lobby but it wasn't open past 5pm, leaving one to brave the smoke-filled cave bar with no ventilation. For a non-smoker this was unbearable. You could smell the 2nd hand smoke coming from this bar as you entered the hotel. We took turns buying our drinks in the smokey bar and brought them out near the front desk area. Had to get an access code for the wifi access and it wasn't free. Restaurant was fine. Breakfast was ok/good, but nothing too special. If I return, I'd probably try another hotel due to the 2nd hand smoke issue.
