We stayed that this hotel for 4 days in June 2010

The rooms are very modern, well equiped and fabulous

The 7 different pools were an absolute treat. we particularly enjoyed the massage beds and the heated outdoor pool

There is so much to do at this hoteol you never get bored!

The daily parking rate of 2.50 was very reasonable

The staff were very helpful and assisted us greatly during our stay

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Leoben and is very peaceful and relaxing

I would stay here again without hesitation

this is poor 4 star hotel, balcony is on devided for guest, your neiboorhood can see to your room !, rooma devided to next room with door in wall ! everything is to listen from other guest.
SPA is PUBLIC for all leoben people , not possible to make relax for big money .
room is small, /2 people room i had/, TV only german canals, driver not working, air condition is poor, needed more power.
Parking is not in hotel, it servises other company for tickets, are you kidding people?
this hotel is for : only for sleep and go out, but for those money , for whom is it? me not.

We were in the Falkensteiner hotel in Leoben last year (2009) in April and it was perfect. So, we went there again with our friends in February 2010 and it was very bad surprise. We spent in this hotel one weekend.We wanted relax in the spa, in the pool and we wanted good food. But this time, the Falkensteiner hotel was very bad. The room was clean and nice but in the minibar there was only mineral water. No chips, no sweets, no pinuts, nothing...
We had to pay also for parking - 8 Eur outside and 12 Eur inside - in the garage.
In the Asia spa, there was free water for drink but without any cups.
Except this, in the Asia spa, there were really many people from the hotel and also from outside and we had not free sunbeds or chairs. We had to wait until 6 p.m. when people from outside went away and then we could find free sunbeds for 4 peoples.
But the most bad experience was the restaurant in the hotel. We had only breakfast and we wanted also dinner from the menu card. We had to wait for the food more than 1 hour! Then the waitress came and her excuse was, that they have many people in the hotel. Who cares?
The problem was also in the hotel bar. There we had to wait more then half an hour for our drinks beacuse they had many people...And it was Sutarday night so they could have more than one waiter...
We really likes Falkensteiner´s hotel but in the hotel in Leoben, we were really frustrated...

We booked a room in this hotel, in the last minute, for two reasons: the pools and because they allowed pets (of course, for a daily fee).
The area is beautiful and the hotel looks nice. The main problem is the personnel.
And here are some of the reasons:
- in one week they NEVER changed the bed sheets (how is that possible in a 4 star spa hotel?!)
- the housekeeper used to come to clean our room around 4 p.m. (unless we called the reception desk)
- besides the front desk personnel, the rest was speaking only German
- all menus, info's about the spa services were available only in German?!?!
- we booked an offer on half board basis but in the first evening we were presented a fee of 100 euro for dinner!

And the best of all is the fact that the day buffet (the one that is in the over 14 years old area - suitable if you come without the children and you want some rest) - was situated in the nudist area. If one is not a fan of nudity must be prepared cause there you have a lot of it.

The restaurant services are below any possible limits. In the morning we were waiting between 15-30 minutes to get a clean table.
At the dinner we were offered the worst seats while the Austrian or German guests were invited to choose what pleases them best.
And since the menu was available only in German language the dinner was sometimes a surprise...

It is a shame that they don't train the personnel because the hotel looks very nice, it is new (was opened this year) and the area is gorgeous.

In the meanwhile, instead of relaxing one week in a nice spa we just screwed our vacations and we deeply regret the choice we've made (especially since it was not cheap at all).
