This is a new modern hotel about 10 min. walk to the center of Graz. The location is not very nice, there are many old and ugly buildings around the hotel, but this did not bother me. The hotel itself is nice. There is a small but good pool area with enough place to sit and daylight ( it is not in the basement !). They gave us an upgrade to a big appartement, but after the first night I had to move because it was above the restaurant and therefore VERY noisy. I was moved to second very nice and totally quiet room. The rooms are modern and comfortable, the beds have great comforters. I found many dark hairs in the bathroom , that was not so nice. The Magnolia restaurant is very good and I would recommend it. The breakfast room is very light and airy, nice to enjoy coffee in the morning. Choice of breakfast foods is very good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern - spacious rooms, excellent facilities, wonderful breakfast spread and within easy walking distance of all the sights in town. I had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend both Graz and the hotel.

On our way from Croatia to the Netherlands we made a three day stopover in Graz. We didn't know what to expect but it is a really nice city. Based on the reviews on Tripadvisor it was clear that the Augarten is the hotel to choose and we were not disappointed!

When arriving at the hotel, we were a little surprised to find it in a residential area but after the warm welcome at the reception we felt at home immediately. We were upgraded to an apartment which was wonderful: beautiful designinterior, high quality furniture and very roomy!

A very important feature for our 6-year old daughter was the swimmingpool. It was also very well designed with excellent showerfacilities and a very nice areau around it to sit and relax. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but the restaurant looked top as well! It was well worth the price we paid.

From the hotel it is only a 10 minute walk to the city center which is truly amazing by day and also by night with its combination of old buildings and modern design.

The augarten is a real gem in a beautiful city: both are highly recommended!

We were up-graded to one of the "apartments" - exceptionally spacious, well equipped, bright and clean. If it is raining (and it did!), you can get from the apartment block to the main hotel through the underground car park. Staff were exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was OK - nothing exceptional. Nice pool. A fair amount of trendy artwork and design features. About 10 minutes walk from city cebtre where there is a very good transport system, however, the tams do not go very near to the hotel. Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Rapid response to any enquiries. Lovely views from roof. The adjoining restaurant hasa high reputation but we did not use it: on the expensive side and closed at weekends.
