I stayed at the Graz Courtyard near the airport, for one night (flight the next morning)
The hotel is located adjacent to a stone quarry on one side, however on the other side there is a nice recreation area with a lake with extensive walking paths.

The parking is exterior and safe. (it was included in my rate)
Smoking in Austria can be a problem in some hotels. Luckily at the Courtyard, smoking is only permitted in the bar adjacent to the lobby. The restaurant is totally non-smoking.

My room was nicely decorated and very quiet. (the windows looked to be at least triple glazed)
My room (on the top floor) was very warm in March, even with the venitlation turned to cold. They offered to move me to a lower room, but instead, I opened the window.
TIP: the windows normally open by tilting back at the top. To open fully, staff need to use a key to unlock that feature.
The TV had 2 english news channels

The fitness facility is very comprehensive (see my pictures)
You can also go for a great walk or run around the lake, just adjacent to the hotel.

There didn't seem to be any restaurant options nearby, however the on-site restaurant was very good and had some healthy choices for both dinner and breakfast.

Internet was available for 17 Euro /day for the higher speed option.

We stayed at Courtyards in Vienna and Graz and the service was dismal at both. I tried for weeks to get directions from the train station to the Courtyard in Vienna and when I finally got instructions they were wrong. I also asked for directions from the train to the Courtyard in Graz and never got them. When we got to Vienna I asked four times for directions for the trip to Graz and was told each time that I would have the answer immediately. Finally as we were checking out I had to say, 'I am leaving for Graz now. Please call them and find out how to get to the hotel from the train station.' After the lady called her face went white and she told me it would take an hour on a tram and then a bus to get to the hotel because the hotel was not in Graz, it was near the airport - which is in a different city. The bus didn't even go to the hotel, it went to the airport, which is a ten minute drive from the hotel.

We rented a car at the airport and drove to the hotel. The one hour train ride from Vienna to Graz had become a four hour fiasco. When we got to the hotel there were about 10 people waiting in front of me and it took a half hour to get to the front of the line. When I was about to walk up to the desk the lady behind it said, 'Is there anyone else from Lockheed?' and she told me she would have to take care of them first. So as my family sat outside in the car in the rain I waited another 20 minutes. When I got to the front of the line I put my papers on the desk and the lady told me she had to take care of the other Lockheed guests who arrived while I was waiting in line (they had all lined up behind me).

I demanded to see the manager and I let him have it in my combination of caveman German and English and he told the lady to go ahead and register me.

The hotel building is nice and if you are flying into Graz and renting a car the location might work for you. There are a lot of inexpensive nice hotels in the middle of Graz, many frustratingly right across from the train station.

Hotel is close to motorway, so if you travel via motorway and need the place to stay, I would definitely recommend it. It might not be convenient for Graz sightseeing as it is out of town. It is clean, modern, quiet, friendly and comfortable. Our experience with stuff was first class. Excellent breakfast. The only complain I have is: restaurant was closed, so upon our arrival we could not get anything to eat (no possibility to order sandwiches or similar). Only available place to eat was nearby Mexican restaurant – but food there was one of the worst in my life.

I stayed several time at this property quite distant from GRAZ itself but closer to the airport, convenient since is just out of the motorway if you have to go into that direction ....

PROS:
- a modern property, well equipped, nothing fancy nor luxurious but simply good
- room ample, good bedding, everything in perfect order
- bathroom a bit compact but nothing missing, good power shower
- staff efficient and pleasant
- good ample parking

CONS:
- it can very dangerous to reach the hotel at night ... have to cross a road with a very scarce visibility .... take a poorly lit roundabout and a road which some people seem to consider as a oneway road .....
- restaurant with quite limited choice and with an even more limited number of patrons .... can be pretty depressing to eat nearly alone in such a huge place in the evening ....
