we just returned from the Advent in Graz where we stayed at hotel Daniel. Hotel is ideally located next to the main train station and only 4 tram stations to the historic city center. Breakfast is excellent! Lobby and reception is modern and fancy. Rooms are modern, clean, comfortable with great shower with raindance shower head. Staff is nice and friendly. Free internet access everywhere in the hotel.

Decent hotel right next to the Graz main train station. Our room was clean and comfortable though oddly designed - the toilet & shower are in separate 'cubicles' inside the room rather than in their own room together and one big wall of the shower is glass so no privacy if you need it. The location is good - about a 15 minute walk into the city centre or a few minutes by tram (which stops just in front of the hotel). We didn't try the breakfast as it was 9 euros per person and there are plenty of places nearby to get breakfast for much less.

The reception staff could use some customer service training though - they've obviously just hired a bunch of young girls to fit with the 'chic and modern' look of the hotel. Wouldn't kill them to smile.

Just returned from another trip to Graz and another great stay at the hotel Daniel. A great place to stay whether for business or pleasure and the best breakfast ever! There are some works going on in front of the hotel at the moment due to improvements to the tram system, but still didn't spoil our visit. Not just highly recommended, this is the best place to stay in Graz!

Hotel Daniel is one of the hotels in the chain of Design hotels (worth checking out the website - www.designhotels.com - and there is also a book). It's basically right next to train station and a pleasant short walk away from the old city centre.
I really liked the lobby and reception because it's truly an eye candy with all those colors.
The staff is also very nice.
The rooms are spacious enough, modern ikea style designed, the biggest plus in the room for me was enormous shower with that big round flat shower head... Who doesn't like a big shower when coming back to hotel.
If going to Graz, than this is the hotel to book.
