We drove into Graz with no itinerary - no reservations. Had lunch and strolled around the park a while before spying this pretty hotel. It was a bit expensive, and a little bit fussy. But the staff were very nice, the room was HUGE, included a sitting room and a very nice bathroom . Breakfast was great, as usual for Europe. It has a very pretty, small rose garden where we had some delicious soup and drinks our first night - and we chose to take our breakfast out there the next day. The second day, we ate in the restaurant and it was very good. We had some difficulty getting our laundry back - seems they left it in the wrong room - but in all other respects this was a nice place. Great steam room and indoor pool.

The room "looks" similar to the pictures on the internet, but you can't see the filthiness! My white socks were black on the bottom after taking off my shoes. After checking in, we went to look for another hotel room, came back to check out and they charged us a full night's stay - $273.49 US! We didn't even touch the room, except for putting the tissue box back on the wall after it had fallen off. And the pitiful air conditioner did not work. We just couldn't believe that they would actually charge us a full night's stay! When we checked out, they didn't even ask us why - we figured this must happen a lot!

Booked a suite via the internet. Upon arrival in Austria I phoned the Hotel for directions and was treated like an idiot! I thought maybe it was the language barrier. We arrived to the garbage dump (see photo) and almost turned away. Parking lot was closed due to repair but I was told to park a few blocks up and find a spot. Did so and the next morning I had a parking ticket. I asked the front desk if they would take care of the ticket, Sorry, it was my problem. When I e-mailed the office from room, 5 minutes later the desk clerk was singing a different tune. However it set me mood for the weekend. Also pool and sauna is closed during the day? Only open from 6:30 am - 9:30 am and than in the evening? sorry I do not understand as there was never any staff down there anyway? Room was OK, alittle loud in the mornings, I stay in Graz often but I will NOT be returning to this hotel.

Have been staying in the hotel for some days and its great. The rooms have all air-condition, very quiet in night (no sound from traffic and double doors to the corridor) and excellent breakfast in morning. Its not inside the old town, but very close and easy to access by walking or tramp just a block from the hotel.
