We stayed here for one night on a Great Rail Journey en route to Vienna, but in temps over 30 degrees it was enough. The "air conditioning" is only air CIRCULATION so did not cool the room down. We actually found it better to prop the window open and get a bit of a breeze as we were on an upper floor, but we did get a bit of noise as we were overlooking the car park and road. The building is a dated uninteresting lump which cannot be accessed by coach due to a car park barrier, so we had to drag our luggage from a lower level to reception (where there is a very friendly dog!). As always in Germany and Austria although the bed was comfortable, we had to ask for extra pillows, and there is no free Wi-fi but there is a computer "cupboard" in reception where you can check emails. Our group evening meal was nothing special, but the breakfast buffet was an excellent hot and cold selection with the added bonus of being able to eat outside on the terrace overlooking the Danube. They really need to address the outside smoking issue, especially at mealtimes, as we were downwind of several smokers and it really wasn't very pleasant. The only reason I can see for staying at this hotel is the location as it stands right on the banks of the Danube with lawns down to the river, but you would need a river view room to get the best of the place.
