Stayed in this Hotel on a few occasions over the years and has never failed in its high standards since I first stayed there 32 years ago. The room as you would expect very well designed and furnished and I would advise booking an exclusive type room with the harbour and sea views, its spectacular and worth the extra. The ground floor Restaurant Louis XV - Alain Ducasse has a 3 Star Michelin status and like the Alain Ducasse Restaurant in the Dorchester Hotel London is over rated and over priced. It would be far better to book a window table at Restaurant Le Grill on the top floor of this establishment with fantastic views over the harbour with the Royal Palace on the hill in the background, this is particularly good during the many firework displays over the bay. The Menu here is excellent and the rack of lamb and the duck on the spit is especially good. At night the roof opens which is an unusual novelty feature. The service and food is excellent in this Restaurant.

Stayed here at the end of our honeymoon, the hotel suite we had was organized by Amex Centruion and was amazing, bed was really comfortable and the view from our balcony was overlooking the marina. The room service was a "Kodak moment" everytime. We ended up staying extra days and squeezing in the drive back to Paris for our return flight to Australia into 1 day, the concierge thought we where crazy as we didn't get away until 11am.. Made it to Paris that night for our flight home. Everything is shut on a Sunday night after casino. Great service and did I mention quality of food for room service... Hehe

Me and my fiancee stayed in the Hotel de Paris for our first time 2 weeks ago. It was the best service I have ever experienced. Room was luxorious from furniture to the La Prairie bathroom toileteries. The choice of towels I have never seen before. And in the morning we were served almond cake with a little suprise inside.

If you're going to Monte Carlo and you can afford to stay here there's no reason to stay anyplace else. Location, location, location. In addition to which rooms are very luxurious. Having said that, I have to say, I found Monte Carlo kind of boring. I like to see historical things and there's just not a lot of history here. There's the beautiful sea and beaches, rich people and shopping. It's difficult to make excursions from here because the traffic in and out of mc is terrible. I guess it was relaxing to stay here and kind of do nothing since we had been doing the tourist thing for a bit but I wouldn't go back.
