It was not the first, neither the last tima I have been at the Metropole Monte-Carlo. It is always a renewed pleasure and in winter, the service is even better. The hotel is superbly located in the heart of Monte Carlo. The service is up to the Palace's reputation and always there to help/advise you without being "pushy".
This time the indoor swimming pool was under maintenance and I could not have my daily swim. But usually it is really worth it.
I like the breakfast with a good buffet and a beautiful view. I also enjoyed the winter rate for a nice, quiet and well equiped room no more expensive than a modern hotel far from a palace...

Sophistication at its best. I felt as though the rate that was probably more a benefit to us than to them. With their service and sophistication, I think it was a steal. Great rate for 295 Euros per room with connecting guaranteed, probably because of off season. Standard rooms are not small but nice sized with beautiful marbel bathrooms, balcony in one room with lovely french doors and windows that open in the other. They pay attention to every single detail, including having french music on the tv after they clean the room. Even the mini bar people dust the mini bar shelves and glass when they check the products. We ordered room service for breakfast and dinner, and also ate breakfast buffet as well. Both were good. Concierge Serge helped us with tickets for the Monte Carlo Circus ( which btw were great seats) and with restaurant reservations, directions and ideas on where to go. He also arranged for a vase for roses we brought back from Italy. Location amazing with casino, Cafe Paris, restaurants close by. The tour bus comes right outside hotel. The shopping mall next door is a major plus. My daughter used the spa and was pleased even after they had mixed up the reservations. Make no mistake, everything is written down in this hotel and there are no misunderstandings about anything. When they make a mistake, it's always corrected. Accountability, trusable, makes you feel like you matter - this is how I would describe this hotel. When we left I felt as though we had left family. Thanks for everything Hotel Metropole!

This is my second stay at the metropole. In my opinion it's the best hotel in Monaco with the hotel de Paris. The value for the rooms was astonishing. Only 320€ for a deluxe room. But the price sure reflected on the room herself. Small and nothing compared to the hotel's elegance. In my second stay I booked a deluxe junior suite, I was finally satisfied at a cost of 600€.
In overall it's a beautiful hotel with a magnificent pool and lovely staff, it could definetly use better rooms. This hotel will make your dreams come true, but for a price.

We stayed here in Septemer 2011. Rooms are pricey (£360 per night for a double) but this was well worth the indulgence. Amazing location with the Tip Top Bar next door, 2 minutes from the Casino in the heart of Monte Carlo. The hotel is stunning (see pictures) inside and out. Staff by the pool are very friendly and helpful but I did find the reception staff and staff on the concierge a little stuffy - not a major complaint just not very smiley when spoken to. Food here is a amazing. The pool is a little small and the poolside are slightly cramped. Although service is amazing I found being walked to a sunlounger and having to stand whilst they layed our towells out for us a little OTT. I would definaley recommend and will definately be staying here again. The complimentary Ruinart Champagne and strawberrys in our room for our wedding anniversary were a very nice touch.
