We stayed one night in this hotel. Perhaps due to the fact that it was a Saturday we paid € 140 per night for a double without breakfast. Not a bargain.. It was ok for one night, but I am not sure if I would return. When entering the hotel we could not park outside on the street, we had to walk about 5 min with our bags. The village basically contains one main street and just a few side streets, so parking can be dificult. The entrance of the hotel is simple, at the reception they speak Spanish/Catalan and English. There was a small room where we could store our luggage. A few (small) elevators were available. Our room was spacious with a bath and toilet (and a window with no view). Bathroom was not clean!!

We also had a small balcony, a TV and a minibar. The bed was ok but not more than that, and the temperature on the room was convenient.

Downstairs at -1 there was a jacuzzi for max 5 persons, a sauna and a steam shower. Towels were not provided (at least not availale when we were there).

I cannot judge on the food since it was not included in the room fee, breakfast we had downstairs outside on the main street. This was ok.

Given the facilities I would rate this hotel as a 3* max. For the price we paid per night it was very expensive for what we got. I would likely not return unless the prices would drop.

Really nice hotel with spacious, warm and clean rooms as well as pleasant staff. Centrally situated for all amenities. Dining room was open until 10.00pm which was very civilised but evening meals left a lot to be desired. Food that one would have expected to be hot was at the very best tepid. One guest even warmed up his soup in the microwave, despite the soup being kept in an electric cauldron. Good choice at breakfast time but scrambled eggs were always cold. Coffee was excellent but if you are a tea enthusiast take your own!! Would consider a return visit to this hotel but only on a bed and breakfast basis. Good spa facilities but make sure you go to reception to have the sauna and steam rooms switched on - many thanks to the mountain guide for ringing reception for us from her office.

Not to be missed - a meal at the Roc Hotel, and a visit to the Harp Irish bar situated just under the Himalaya. Very welcoming and friendly staff with excellent entertainment provided by Adrian and Mikey.

Soldeu is a fabulous resort, looking forward to seeing it in late summer and will most certainly be returning for ski-ing next year.

Potentially very nice hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, and very close to ski lift & bars & shops.
However food was a HUGE let down. Large selection on buffet, but often COLD and hence unpalatable. Trays of presumably once hot food left out in steel containers with no hotplate or lights to keep it warm. Surely a basic catering rule? The manager needs to go on a training course! We will certainly return to Soldeu, which was excellent, despite all artificial snow, but definately NOT to this hotel. Who on earth gave them 4* ?
Would recommend eating at the Roc and also the Merlot restaurant....only 2 decent meals of our holiday.
The Harp, Irish bar below hotel was excellent. Friendly staff & great live music every night.

We had an excellent ski holiday and excellent stay at Hotel Himalaia. We travelled as a group which consist of three families. Hotel staff were very accomadative and made sure we were well looked after. Hotel was average but was located very close to the main gondola and ski renal shop. Food was basic but had good variety.

We did not have much snowfall however as most of the ski areas had snow cannon we were able to snow on most runs. The ski area is vast and it would take more than just a week to do all the runs.

The Harp Pub near the hotel did not seem to like families with children, but Icebery pub opposite the hotel were excellent. They also offered happy hour between 16.30 to 18.30 hrs when you can buy one get one free on all drinks.
